Is it possible that the Simple Interface mode was turned on accidentally? If there is a yellow happy face near the top of your windows, then Simple Interface has been turned on. Touch on the happy face, and a drop down menu should appear that allows you to select Full Interface. Does that make the choice reappear?
(You can choose the nature of the simplification by going to the Simplification tab of the main Mesquite window that shows the log.)
