Dear all,
When including or linking a file, in this case a tab-separated text file with continuous characters, I get the following message for every character:
Error: character number out of bounds (setCharacterName) x
where "x" represents the number of that character.
I have tried to reduce the original name of the character to a single letter, but the error persists. There is nothing wrong with the imported data matrix, only that the names of the characters are somehow not recognized by mesquite. I've checked the whole forum for this error, but there is no information.
Character names are on the first line of the matrix, nothing else is special about it, plain .txt file with tab separations.
Any ideas of what could be happening?
