[Mesquitelist] java installed; mesquite doesn't recognize

I get an error message when I start mesquite that says I do not have a
functioning java installation.

Java is in my path and classpath. If I type "java -version" at a command
prompt it tells me that I'm running: java version "1.6.0_05", java(TM) SE
Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13), Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
(build 10.0-b19, mixed mode, sharing)

I can run other java-requiring programs. I'm using the latest version of
Mesquite, downloaded 6/11/08, but have had the same problem for other
versions in the past. I uninstalled each Mesquite version before
installing the newer ones. I always have java installed first and have
tried rebooting in between installing java and mesquite.

I'm running windows XP SP2.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sara Sandstedt
