Hi All:
In previous posts, Ashleigh Smythe addressed the problem about
putting a number of trees into Mesquite (under Linux system).
I also have the similar problems under Windows XP.
When I put a tree block including 18310 trees (nexus file) into Mesquite, it
will stop at the point when reading 12800 trees, and then an error message
"Java.lang.out of memory" appeared.
With help of Ashleigh, the following link:
http://www.duckware.com/pmvr/howtoincreaseappletmemory.html show a possible
solution to this problem. But when I follow the configuration, and re-start
my web-browser, the error message box showing "too much JVM running in a
same course". I try several times on different versions of JVM, but the
situation is same. So Mesquite will stop at reading 12800 trees.
So, anybody knows how to fix this problem? Many thanks for your help
in advance.
Happy New Year.
Lisong
