[Mesquitelist] Cartographer problems

Have you tried entering latitudes as negative numbers, as is 
customary (and in Cartographer required) for degrees West?  (See 
Cartographer instructions for entering data: 
http://mesquiteproject.org/packages/cartographer/data.html) ?
