[Mesquitelist] Mesquite Nexus File Save Problem - charstatelabels

Dear List;
I have been using an extensive charstatelabels section in the characters block,
and I've found that after making any changes to the data in Mesquite, all the
EOLs are stripped from the file during saving.  This results in a very long
line which causes buffer overruns and crashes in some text editors; it also
makes reading the file subsequently difficult.
Does anyone know a way around this, or have a fix?

I can provide the files to anyone interested in testing this for themselves.
