[Mesquitelist] Problem editing in Mesquite and then accessing the Nexus File

I have been editing my mesquite taxa and character states using the nexus file,
as I have a 286x286 matrix.  Whenever I edit in the nexus file and then go into
Mesquite and edit the same file, I cannot then access my nexus file.  Does
anyone have any clues as to what Mesquite might be doing to the nexus file when
I change data in the program?
