After making the new data file and indicating the set of taxa you want to make, Mesquite will present you with a window showing the list of taxa. The example below assumes you called the block of taxa "Fish" and that you indicated there were 4 taxa.
This window is a standard Mesquite window: tool palette at left, information bar with tabs at the top, and the annotation and explanation areas at the bottom.
